Required Equipment & Sizing Guide
All items must meet Little League International rules and NOCSAE safety standards.
Required Equipment
• Bat – Little League–approved bat with a USA Baseball stamp
• Batting Helmet – NOCSAE-certified helmet (face cage recommended)
• Glove – Youth tee ball or baseball glove
• Cleats – Rubber cleats only (no metal spikes)
• Pants – Gray baseball pants
Sizing Guidance
Bat Size
• Most Tee Ball players use a bat between 24”–25”
• Lightweight bats are strongly recommended
• A good test is whether your child can hold the bat straight out briefly without struggling
• Focus on control and confidence, not bat length or power
Glove Size
• Recommended size: 8.5”–10”
• Look for gloves labeled “tee ball,” “youth,” or “beginner”
• Soft, flexible gloves work best — stiff gloves make catching difficult
Cleats
• Any athletic rubber cleat is acceptable (baseball or soccer style)

• Choose a bat your child can hold straight out with one hand for a few seconds
• Lighter bats are recommended — control matters more than power at this age
Glove Size
• Recommended size: 9”–10.5”
• Look for a soft, flexible glove labeled “youth” or “beginner”
• Avoid stiff, adult-style gloves, which can make catching more difficult
Cleats
• Any athletic rubber cleat is acceptable (baseball or soccer style)
